CHAMPIONS ARE- DEDICATED TO ALL THEY DO
Dear
Reader,
Reading this self-training manual is evidence that you are prepared to be a champion and to succeed in life ambitions. You are a Champion!
What does it take to be a
champion?
It takes desire, dedication, determination, and discipline to be an achiever, a winner or a champion. Let us consider the 4Ds in all our endeavours to become a champion.
Let’s run through the 4Ds (Desire, Dedication, Determination, and Discipline) of achievers and the role that each plays.
The Role of Desire
Success or Champion begins with a desire.
We should continually have a clear desire for what we want to
achieve.
Desire is the key to motivation. However, determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal, as well as commitment to excellence will enable you to attain the success.
Life will often surprise us with its twists and turns, but whatever you’re going through right now, these words should hopefully renew the willpower that’s already inside you.
The Role of Dedication
The introductory
factor behind each triumphant person is their level of dedication, which
symbolises their devotion towards accomplishing dreams and life goals. Learning
what it means to be dedicated or devoted to achieving a specific intent is a
foundational principle for life.
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied our best to the task at hand.
The Role of Determination
Within each of us is a hidden store of determination. Determination keeps us in the race when all seems lost. A great book begins with an idea.
Working hard, being patient and determined is perhaps the most fulfilling way to be successful in your endeavours.
Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful. Self-determination is NICE but needs to be tempered with self-control.
Determination
will require you to endure to the end. A
popular adage says “to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor,
here comes number seventy-one!
Being your best is not so much about overcoming the barriers other people place in front of you as it is about overcoming the obstacle we place in front of ourselves.
It has frivolity to do with how many times you win or lose. It has no relation to where you finish in a race or whether you break world records. It does have everything to do with having the vision to dream, the will to recover from adversity, and the determination never to be shifted from your goals.
The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that makes you to endure. These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur. Every worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory.
You can
do what you have to do, and sometimes you can do it even better than you think
you can.
People who lack the clarity, courage, or determination to follow their dreams will often find ways to discourage you.
He who
has a reason to live can bear almost anything.
It takes determination to see a dream come to pass. The question is not about starting but about finishing and finishing well.
Discipline automates
habits which in turn determines the outcome. The role of discipline in life
success can never be underrated. It delays short-term gratification for
long-term reward. Discipline helps us overcome sloth, procrastination as well
as taking things for granted. It mandates us to determine what we want now and
what we want for tomorrow.
Remember:
1. “Disciplineis the bridge between goals and accomplishment.” – Jim Rohn.
2. “For a
man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories.” – Plato.
3. “What
lies in our power to do, lies in our power not to do.” – Aristotle.
4. “You
have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find
strength.” – Marcus Aurelius.
5. “He who
cannot obey himself will be commanded. That is the nature of living creatures.”
– Friedrich Nietzsche.
6. “Mastering
others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power.” – Lao Tzu.
7. “It is better to conquer self than to win a thousand battles.” – Buddha.
Summary:
Success or Champion begins with a desire. The introductory factor behind each successful
person is their level of dedication. Within each of us is a
hidden store of determination.
People who lack the clarity, courage, or determination to
follow their dreams will often find ways to discourage you. Discipline automates
habits which in turn determines your outcome.
